We are seeking a driven and motivated individual to join our Engineering team for our new Digibank initiative. This role will be based in Malaysia.

Get to know the Role

  • Manage a variety of complex, cross-functional programs and lead all aspects of assigned programs delivery. Get a taste for how Digibank really works, behind the scenes.

  • Create and maintain the Delivery Roadmap for the teams you work closely with, along with the respective Tech and Product leaders.

  • Define the way of driving these programs and constantly find ways of improving this process in a data driven manner.

  • Owners of the collaboration process and tools.

  • Embrace Grab’s culture and principles and promote an environment which embodies Grab’s Principle and Values.

  • Drives product release cycle and cadence.

The Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Lead large scale company-wide programs. Get hands on with project management, tech implementation, maintenance of documentation, tracking of timelines/deliverables and stakeholder management

  • Lead Collaboration with stakeholders across teams and roles, to identify and resolve ambiguous, multi dimensional business, legal, and product needs

  • Work with external/internal partners on integration and product expansion opportunities.

  • Brainstorm innovative ideas, identify problems, propose and implement best practices, and improve ways of working.

  • Work with cross functional teams of Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, Analysts and QA to ensure on time delivery.

  • Participate in interview loops to help Grab continue hiring top industry talent

  • Provide guidance, mentorship and knowledge sharing to peers. Mentor & coach team members on Product delivery. Provide constructive, honest and direct feedback to team members

  • Continuously find ways to help teams and the organisation improve how it delivers.

The Must-Haves:

  • Hands on Program management and delivery management experience of 8+ years.

  • A project delivery or technical leadership background and strong organizational and interpersonal skills, which will enable you to succeed in Grabs fast paced environment.

  • An understanding of Agile is desirable but not essential, more important than your specific skill set is your ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to not be constrained by your job description.

  • Experience leading large teams of engineers and driving large-scale projects and products, in collaboration with product, design and commercial teams.

  • A cultural role model with a strong sense of humility and empathy coupled with a bias for action and a passionate commitment to engineering excellence

  • Possess strong communication skills and can communicate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences effectively.

  • A proven track record of getting things done/shipping projects.

  • Experience working in a dynamic fast moving environment where autonomy and self-decision making is needed (to an extent) and you have the ability to juggle between different Projects/tasks.
