The Public Affairs team supports Grab's interactions with governments and other stakeholders. The team's portfolio in Cambodia entails engaging the Government on regulatory issues and partnerships to advance Grab's mission to leverage technology for good.

Get to know the Role

Grab's Public Affairs Department is looking to hire a Public Affairs manager, to support public affairs and communications work in Cambodia. You will play an essential role in supporting Grab's engagements with the Cambodia Government and community stakeholders.

The Day-to-Day Activities

Public Affairs

• Grab's public affairs by working with the local country team and business verticals to provide analysis, assessments and action plans on public policy issues and to advance Grab's social mission.

• You build and manage strategic government relations and partnerships

• Establish key partnerships with relevant government stakeholders, serve as Grab's liaison with government stakeholders and represent Grab as needed at key government meetings and events

• Collaborate with internal teams to plan, launch, execute and evaluate key social and public affairs initiatives and campaigns

PR and Communications

• Support the marketing department in developing PR content

• Coordinating engagements with media (e.g. media inquiries, interview requests)

• Track and communicate the performance of PR efforts to relevant internal stakeholders

The Must-Haves

You have:

• At least 8 years of on-ground experience in public and / or government affairs in Cambodia in either public policy, regulatory, strategic advisory or communications roles

• Experience in senior-level government engagements

• Organized, insightful and can communicate your observations well, both written and verbally

• Strong self-starter and have a proactive attitude, with a resourceful and flexible approach to problem-solving

• Comfortable working under pressure and can adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment

• Proactive and impartial team player who adopts a "your problem is my problem" attitude and have the tenacity to meet deadlines and adapt to fast-paced changes

• Adept at managing complex processes and navigating through ambiguous and quick turn-around situations

• Previous working experience as PR at least 3- 5 years is a plus

• Fluent both in written/spoken KH/EN
