The Marketplace & BI team drives the business forward by strategically managing the dynamics between consumers (passengers and eaters), driver-partners, and merchants to ensure a healthy and growing marketplace. Using a data driven approach, the team optimizes marketplace performance and grows marketplace output through various market levers (e.g. pricing, consumer promotions, driver-partner incentives etc).
Get to know the Role
The Marketplace & BI Senior Associate role is a balance of strategy (e.g. what’s the right price for a service), analytics (e.g. what data is needed to determine if the current price is too high/too low) and stakeholder management (e.g. working with Marketing and Operations team to gauge the acceptance of a price tweak).
The Day-to-Day Activities
Together with the Head of Marketplace & BI, strategize, experiment and execute various initiatives to sustainably grow the number of transactions in the Marketplace within a given budget
Analyse issues impacting demand (consumer) growth in the business. This includes consumer segmentation, conversion funnel optimization, churn analysis etc
Work closely with marketing to grow demand sustainably. This includes designing effective and efficient promo structures, managing the lifecycle of existing consumers, and targeting untapped consumer pools
Work closely with Operations team to actively manage the balance of driver-partner supply & consumer demand to ensure service reliability, which might involve deploying market levers such as driver-partner incentives, demand shaping tools, and pricing tools
Optimize driver-partner earnings via pricing & incentives structures to ensure that our driver-partners earn fair & competitive compensation for their work, improving productivity, and shaping supply behavior to meet the needs of the market
Marketplace & BI team is the subject matter expert in terms of data analytics. This role also comes with the responsibility to provide consultation to other teams to empower them towards data driven insights and decisions.
Take up data complex and needle moving analysis as and when required
Solid analytical and critical thinking skills, with an attention to details and structure
Keen to learn and passionate in problem solving
Strong business sense and ability to articulate complex analyses to a wide range of audiences
Driven by results and is proactive in achieving them
Excel for Data Analytics skill is essential
Working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, R, Power BI, Python and other data wrangling and visualisation tools is preferred but not essential
Proficient in English communication and writing skills
