You specialise in building, operating and maintaining leading edge solutions that Just Work™ . Built on world-class technology stacks, the infrastructure overseen by you brings our unique on-demand services experience to Malaysia every day for the digital banking sector in Malaysia or "the awesome things to come". Millions of people depend on the stability your solutions provide, which is demanding in terms of design and quality but also incredibly rewarding.

The Day-to-Day Activities

• Independently drive projects across teams end to end, from inception to rollout

• Find and troubleshoot issues in Grab's entire infrastructure and code base

• Develop, maintain, and operate control- and data-plane components, and resolve production incidents

• Implement quality solutions using Terraform, Kubernetes, Go, and Lua and maintain the high bar of standards for review and deployment processes. You mentor peers and promote development and operational excellence best practices while achieving excellent user experience

The Must-Haves

You are a habitual problem solver, and naturally assume ownership of your team’s systems and software components. You know how to be responsible for mission-critical systems and

• have a very good understanding of networking and the internet

• are an expert for at least one of AWS or Azure with hands-on experience with ARM, CFN, or Terraform and have hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm

• know how to build, maintain, and monitor highly-available distributed systems with strict SLAs and have significant industry experience in operating highly available, high TPS Systems

• fluency in Bash, GoLang, Python, JavaScript, and Python and understanding of common patterns and algorithms to confidently navigate 3rd-party code bases for debugging and troubleshooting

The Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with one or more of Envoy, Istio, Consul, Vault, GCP, Ansible, Chef, SaltStack, etc.

• Experience with operating critical IT infrastructure and large scale Docker / Kubernetes deployments

• Experience with building monitoring and alerting systems

• Experience in a startup
