Role summary
We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to support a short-term research project focused on identifying relevant industry experts across specific companies and roles.
In this role, you will review research briefs from our client and use LinkedIn and web research to identify a pool of relevant professional profiles that match defined criteria such as company background, role seniority, and functional expertise.
Although this is not a traditional recruitment role, the work is closely aligned with talent sourcing and market research, requiring strong investigative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to document the research process clearly.
This is a part-time contract role for 3 months, working evening hours (6:00 PM – 10:00/11:00 PM Kenya time).
Responsibilities:
- Review research requests and interpret the required profile criteria (industry, seniority, and functional expertise).
- Identify relevant target companies, keywords, and job titles to guide LinkedIn searches.
- Source relevant professional profiles using LinkedIn and online research.
- Assess profile relevance based on experience, role scope, and alignment with the request.
- Document the search approach and rationale, including keywords, companies identified, and sourcing techniques used.
- 2–3 years of experience in sourcing, recruitment research, lead generation, or market research
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, Research, or a related field
- Strong experience using LinkedIn for profile identification and research
- Ability to interpret research briefs and translate them into structured search strategies
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and profile evaluation ability
- Strong written English communication skills for documenting research steps and rationale
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, project-based environment
- Familiarity with Boolean search techniques and advanced LinkedIn filters

- Location: Kenya (remote)
- Contract Duration: 3 months
- Working Hours: Approximately 6:00 PM – 10:00/11:00 PM (Kenya time)
- Schedule: Part-time, evening availability required
