We have a new and exciting opportunity for a remote Financial Wellness Coach to join our team. We are looking for great people who have a growth mindset and a passion for helping others. The Purpose of Your Role

BrightPlan is a Financial Wellness company that partners with forward-thinking organizations to keep clients inspired and motivated to confidently manage their personal finances. We believe that living well now, while planning for the future, is critical to overall personal wellbeing. While life can be complicated, planning your future shouldn't be.

As a Financial Wellness Coach, you will help clients when they financial and company benefits questions. You will help them with such questions as how to use BrightPlan's financial education content, set goals, and how to put those learnings into action. You will also help them answer point-in-time financial questions and coach them on those topics in an effort to support educated decisions. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting, resolving, and responding to customer issues within the BrightPlan experience.

The Value You Deliver

  • Being available to help clients by phone, email, chat and video, responding promptly to questions and resolving issues with their financial investment and benefits questions
  • Becoming an expert on BrightPlan products so that you can facilitate client engagement with our educational blogs, seminars, and goal setting solutions to drive ongoing and repeat usage, and drive engagement by employees

  • Providing financial knowledge, expertise, basic coaching strategies, and investment direction that plan participants can use to plan life financial goals and objectives, in areas such as budgeting, taxes, cash management, employee stock options, college planning, insurance, estate planning, and investment planning.

  • Becoming an expert on customer employee benefits so that you can educate employees on how to maximize the benefits to improve their overall wellness

  • Providing expertise and guidance for employees on the BrightPlan partner network used to provide deeper planning expertise in areas such as tax, estate, and other planning specialty areas

  • Developing repeatable processes by leading, shaping, and executing customer support initiatives, including knowledge base content development, product marketing, and corporate user communications in collaboration with internal Marketing and Product teams including cross team communications and reporting

  • Identifying and transitioning clients who have more complex planning needs to a BrightPlan Financial Advisor

  • Capturing ongoing customer feedback to participate as key "voice of the customer" champion for product enhancements, customer system or process updates, and business approaches

The Expertise We Are Looking For:

  • Previous success in customer facing service and sales roles with a background, interest, and/or experience in personal finance
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or other professional certifications are helpful

  • Series 65 or 66 licensed OR the ability to acquire upon hire

  • Results-oriented, goal focused individual with a bias for action and with exceptional attention to detail who is comfortable working independently

  • Comfort in a fast-paced, start-up environment with an eye for building sustainable processes at scale and excitement to deliver a best-in-class support experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A quite, designated workspace at home with a high-speed internet connection; must be appropriate for handling confidential client information and video calls

At BrightPlan, base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, related job skills, residence location, as well as market indicators. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the base pay range for this role is listed below.

The minimum and maximum starting annual salary for this Financial Wellness Coach is $76,000 to $93,000.

This position is eligible for BrightPlan's standard benefits offering, including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company contribution, annual performance bonus, paid parental leave, life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
