Get to Know the Role
Reporting to the Manager of Country Finance, the Assistant Manager, Country Finance plays a crucial role in pivoting between Business, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and the Shared Services (SSC) team to achieve accurate & time Financial Reporting based on the dynamic company business environment.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will be responsible for reviewing and fronting related entities' financial entry into the Oracle Financial system, according to the Company accounting policy.
- You will support the Business Unit (BU) in Grab and Operations alignment for new product/feature launch
- You will assist the Manager of Country Finance in analyzing and supporting Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and the Business team on key fluctuation Quarter vs Quarter/Month vs Month and comparison with Budget/forecast movements
- You will assist on Quarterly Closed Reporting in line with US Listing requirements and alignment
- You will review and follow up on Balance Sheet reconciliation and have the pre and post-close analysis with the Shared Service team ensuring key balance sheet clearing accounts and provisions are sufficiently provided.
- You will collaborate with SSC to check and review all accounting entries including Inter-company reconciliation between related entities and ensuring all clearing accounts are cleared in the Oracle system and that the financial statements are following FRS standards.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting and/or Professional Qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
- Minimum 5 years of IFRS or equivalent accounting standard knowledge
- Knowledgeable on GL and reporting processes with hands-on experience and understanding of financial impact
- Able to adapt to fast-paced and dynamic company business environment
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities under tight deadlines
