Job Description

Get to Know the Team

Working alongside the Geo Tech Family, Transport, Deliveries, and other tech families, the Product Operations is a lean team and will work closely with various cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive strategic projects in Southeast Asia.

Get to Know the Role

As a Senior Product & Map Operations Specialist, you will be an integral member of the GEO tech family, working closely with product and engineering teams to improve map data and provide a seamless experience to our customers. This role involves managing and coordinating the daily operations of our mapping team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality maps, and driving regional mapping initiatives.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Manage the daily operations of the mapping team, ensuring high-quality map delivery to clients.
  • Collaborate with team leads on data analysis and reporting to support mapping initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors and monitor project progress to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Assist team members with the mapping process, ensuring all aspects are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Adhere to Grab's confidentiality procedures and policies when collecting, storing, and sharing data.
  • Work with cross-functional and relevant teams to drive regional mapping projects.
  • Conduct training sessions locally and regionally, perform regular quality checks, and handle translation and transcription where applicable.
  • Collect, monitor, and analyze large sets of geo data using proprietary software and internal tools.

Qualifications

The Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Geography, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of open data sources like OpenStreetMap is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in QGIS, basic SQL, Python, and advanced Excel skills.
  • 2-3 years experience in data processing, geospatial analysis, and automation processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have at least 6 years of experience in project management, cross-department communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, metrics-driven, and understands how maps influence the product and customer experience.
