Job Description

Get to know the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Driver Onboarding Manager to join our team as a middle manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the onboarding and activation of driver applications within our system efficiently. As a people manager, this individual will lead a team dedicated to ensuring a smooth and effective onboarding process for new drivers, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of driver onboarding, from application receipt to activation in our system, ensuring a seamless integration into our platform.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team focused on the onboarding process, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth.
  • Implement strategies and procedures to improve the onboarding process efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and enhance driver satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams across all markets of Grab to streamline cross-functional workflows impacting driver onboarding and activation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the onboarding process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to address any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the onboarding process.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of driver onboarding, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

The must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or a similar field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role overseeing a team.
  • Proven track record of managing and improving processes or similar operational workflows.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving their objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on process optimization.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to driver onboarding and activation is a plus.
