As a member of the Cities Team, you will be responsible for overseeing, shaping the entire operations and go-to market plan of the business in every corner in Thailand where it will be the key growth driver for all Grab’s services.

Strategy of Cities Team is now finding teammates to join our young motivated team on this rocket with the target of making life easier for Thais across all regions. Our team operates with an experimental mindset and is willing to deep dive into both opportunities and challenges.

Job Description

Get to know the Role:

We are looking for a Strategy Associate who will partner with Cities Strategy Lead to shape the direction of every city that will make Grab triumph and be a backbone for the operations teams on accelerating the impact with analysis and process improvement.

The day-to-day activities:

1. Lead budget planning and development (60%)

  • Develop and implement comprehensive budgeting strategies aligned with goals and objectives from initiation to closure.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to monitor budget performance and identify variances.
  • Develop accurate financial forecasts with working teams to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on financial trends, risks, and opportunities.

2. Lead strategic planning and studies for top-of-agenda strategic topics (ุ40%)

  • Ensure a well-coordinated business strategy with other key stakeholders in diplomatic ways.
  • Drive analysis and planning of high impact strategic topics e.g. providing a fact base, problem identification, structured problem solving, advising on implementation
  • Deliver valuable business insights and recommendations to business teams to act upon e.g. city grouping, competitor analysis, customer researches

Qualifications

The must haves:

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, business, tech company or fast-paced working environment in strategy or business development.
  • Analytics - Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Stakeholder management - Able to get things done by others with full cooperation and willingness.
  • Initiator - able to throw in big WHAT IF and light up new ideas with rationale attached.
  • Passion and energy to excel - Eager to identify, own, and tackle new opportunities and challenges.

Fresh Grads with exceptional achievement in extracurricular activity, case competition, or academics medalist are also welcome.
