Get to know the Team:

The team you will be joining is responsible for the stakeholder-driven marketing efforts (consumers/drivers/merchants) of all Grab services in Thailand, namely GrabFood, GrabMart, JustGrab, GrabCar, GrabBike, GrabExpress, GrabPay and others. Get to know the Role:

We are looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager to lead marketing strategy and planning for key Grab services namely Mobility, focusing on high value rides for consumer such as GrabCar Premium, GrabCar Luxe, Advance Booking, GrabDriveYourCar, in particularly targets Tourists, Expat and Local segment and also Driver Marketing. Drivers are our key stakeholder. You need to be able to work with the team on finding drivers’ insights, crafting go-to-market plans, and working with the Performance Marketing team on media to achieve acquisition targets. Most importantly, continuing to nurture the love with drivers through their community or other forms of communication.

We are looking for someone with a strong marketing strategy background with solid logical thinking, preferably from FMCGs or strategic planning roles in agencies.

With Grab’s fast paced environment, you will need to be able to plan the strategy while navigating through the chaos and taking hands-on actions in a timely manner. You need to demonstrate analytical thinking and share project ROI to key stakeholders. The successful candidate should adapt well to the change or unexpected situations and be able to lead the team & subordinate.

The day-to-day activities:

Consumer Marketing

  • Define marketing strategy for responsible marketing campaigns.
  • Drive business growth across premium target segments via acquisition and retention initiatives by working closely with the demand planning and operation team.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end design and execution of strategic campaigns including concept ideation, media and demand planning, go-to-market strategy and budget planning. React fast to mid-campaign performance and optimize in between campaign activities.
  • Manage reporting and analysis across marketing campaigns, using data to drive better campaigns through a test and learn approach.
  • Work with all key stakeholders and crossfunctions (internal and external) to deliver high-quality work for creative, PR, media buying, events , etc. for Grab.
  • Work with our marketing analytics and consumer research teams to drive insight into how consumers are using our platform and translate these insights into innovative campaigns.

Driver Marketing

  • Work closely with the Driver Operations team to acknowledge the target and understand the drivers’ insight.
  • Drive acquisition of both car and bike drivers by working with the Driver Operations team, Performance Marketing and other agencies (if any).
  • Responsible for the end-to-end design and execution of strategic campaigns including concept ideation, media and demand planning, go-to-market strategy and budget planning. React fast to mid-campaign performance and optimize in between campaign activities.
  • Manage reporting and analysis across marketing campaigns, using data to drive better campaigns through a test and learn approach.

Success metrics for the role:

  • Drive business growth (GMV, Revenue).
  • Drive brand funnel and imagery.
  • Drive stakeholders’ NPS (Net Promoter Score) for both Drivers & Consumers.
  • Achieve driver acquisition target.

Qualifications

The must haves:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of marketing experience.
  • FMCG/ agency in the strategic planner/ consulting background/ brand marketing or marketing communications is preferred.
  • Commercial acumen - ability to develop strategy based on strong understanding of key business needs.
  • Problem solving mindset - anticipate challenges and proactively propose solutions.
  • Team / project management - effective management of people and resources. Ability to cascade clarity around priorities and targets.
  • Familiar with the entire marketing mix – you have a good knowledge of how and when to leverage different marketing channels from above-the-line and below-the-line communications for brand activation. You must also have a clear understanding of how to plan an end-to-end marketing roll out for new campaigns (e.g. product launches, consumer campaigns, driver campaigns etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Thailand market, deep understanding of consumer insights and media landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly in both written and spoken English.
  • Impeccable organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Results-oriented and data-driven: Able to make data-informed decisions for a marketing plan. Proven track record of utilizing data in forming innovative and interesting ideas that are successfully operationalized into impactful marketing campaign execution.
  • Relentlessly driven and seeks challenges: Willingness to drive growth and able to embrace and tackle challenges.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint. Familiar with remote working/collaboration tools such as Google Docs, Zoom & Slack
  • Loves the thrill of being in a fast-paced environment with the uncertainty change of direction while being able to multitask to meet deadlines.
