Job Description

Get to know the Role:

We're in search of a seasoned Driver Training Manager to lead the orchestration of our driver education and upskilling initiatives. This pivotal role encompasses the crafting, upkeep, and seamless implementation of our driver training content. With a strong leadership mindset, the ideal candidate will lead a team committed to providing exemplary training, ensuring our drivers are well-prepared and knowledgeable for their day-to-day transport or delivery services.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive training curriculum for drivers, ensuring it meets the latest industry standards and driver guidelines.
  • Oversee and monitor the scheduling, execution, and evaluation of training programs, ensuring they are conducted efficiently and effectively.
  • Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with various departments and teams across all markets of Grab to identify training needs and ensure that the curriculum addresses all necessary requirements to be a high quality driver.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes and driver performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards in all training activities.
  • Develop and manage the training budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently to achieve training objectives.
  • Provide regular reports on the status of driver training programs, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.


The must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, with at least 2 years in a managerial role overseeing a team.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing training curricula, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading effective teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Analytical skills with a focus on measuring training effectiveness and ROI.
  • Knowledge of the latest training techniques and tools, as well as regulatory requirements related to driver training.
